For as long as I like

I dive into darkness
In the darkness I cry
With overwhelming shadows
For as deep as I like

I dive into winter
In the coldness I write
With shabby bloody chapters
For as wild as I like

I dive into fire
In the heat I decide
With unspeakable pleasure
For ever here I lie

A total fiasco.

I am glad that poetry is not your main goal in life (face the vast emptiness behind poetry!).
But, you are too optimistic: you can't take it with you either (not unless you are talking the barest physical sense of having some printed papers by your cold hard decaying corpse). Ha! I am just being a bit macabre today. But enjoy while you're at it. And your xue-mei writes quite well too. You must be a good teacher.

Indeed, I have to say that I have not taught Mien-Tuan anything at all.
She appeared from nowhere already in a package.
I only unveiled the place where she can have fun and be herself.
As for me, I am semi-retired. It is the age of the new blood already.
