試追一年情詩─I Carry Thy Words with Me

A traveler, destined to be alone.
On the road he kills sins and dangers,
Righteous he remains, yet no one
Stays on his side. He smells the
Flowers, for they are lovely.
But flowers have no feet and
Know not how to walk, hence
They walk with him not. Alone,
The traveler keeps on walking
This road of dirt and blood-shed.
He desires for hell, for heaven
Seems not to exist. Hell
Seems to be an easier answer
To destroy all humanity. Confused
And alone he becomes, his feet
Feel like hot springs of numbing venom.
Dehydrated, frustrated, succumbed.
Traveler tries to listen for chorus of angel
And to see the light behind shrouding clouds.
The only thing he has in his pocket is faith.
May God be his shepherd and his sight,
For he alone can suffer no more.
He is only human, weak and pathetic.
He cannot finish his journey all alone.
When it gets too quiet, grant him whispers of breeze.
When it gets too dark, grant him pleasures of fireflies.
Let him pick a flower, and put her in front of his shirt,
Closest to his heart. Teach him how to love,
For love is the greatest of all.
Let him be in solitude but not loneliness.
Then to the end, he shall travel.
